Delicate Dentistry

Image
Some super delicate dentistry that is part of most of the minimally invasive treatments that we like to do at Vimal Dental Clinic . These are thin ceramic wafers that will be bonded to teeth with minor damage to make them as good as new! #dentistnearme #dentistinpune #bestdentist

Tooth Filling

#bestdentistinpune #clinicnearme #toothcoloredfilling #cavity Maybe you have an old filling that is still troubling you. It may just be that it needs to be replaced.  Do not ignore food getting stuck between teeth or sensitivity... it can be a problem and it is always better to get a professional opinion and attend to a problem in the initial stages itself. Come, have a look!

Conservative Treatment for Root Canal Treated Teeth.

Image
Just some of the many ways that a root canal treated tooth can be fixed. All ceramic tops. Not like crowns at all. A patient once remarked... "oh! its like a tiara!" Quite right.

MISSING MOLAR TEETH

Image
Implants are not just excellent options for replacing a single missing tooth, but also for multiple missing teeth. In this case the patient has lost two permanent molars. This means that effectively there is no chewing or bite on one entire side of the mouth.  A fixed bridge or FPD is not possible in this case as there is no tooth at the back to support a bridge. Implants to the rescue!

Gap Closure for Upper Front Teeth

Image
Patient is a young male in his 20's. Primary complaint or treatment need was for a closure of the gaps in the upper front teeth. Options included direct composite buildups (filling material) or ceramic veneers (more permanent though slightly invasive as it requires some grinding of the natural tooth surface) and orthodontic correction (moving the teeth with braces / wires) After consultation with the orthodontist, patient was not willing to commit to the time frame as he may go abroad for further studies and did not have any other concern.  The usual protocol that we follow now is a complete impression and mock ups done with the lab in order to get an idea of the end result and this also enables us to communicate the same to the patient in a very direct "what you see is what you get" manner.  Only after approval of the temporaries is final treatment initiated. And since the end result is already planned the workflow is smooth and predictable.  ...

Anterior Esthetic Case in Young Male

Image
This is a case of a crown or traditional "cap" on one tooth and a veneer or "facing" on the very next tooth. The difference in the two preparations is evident. One is aggressive and requires cutting / destroying the complete tooth. The other is minimally invasive. We can conserve a lot more of the natural tooth structure. It is a challnge to get the shade / colour / etc to match perfectly. Especially when the patient is young and looking to get married. (this Pt was meeting prospective matches during treatment stages!) A decent job is when you can see the end result and the patient is satisfied and happy. Job Done!

Biomimetic Dentistry

Image
A routine procedure in our practice is to fabricate eMax Onlays. A good alternative to ceramic crowns or the usual PFM or metal-ceramic caps that are the usual options.  They look great and patient acceptance is high.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Image
Often a full mouth treatment means that all teeth are treated. But this need not be the case. A judicious diagnosis and treatment plan may also mean that we end up working only on the teeth that are "affected" or if treated will "improve" overall function and/or esthetics. In this particular case only the front teeth were treated completely and the upper back teeth replaced in order to give a good bite and improve the visual appearance for the patient completely!

Veneer

Image
Final views pre operative views Often teeth need to be fixed simply for aesthetic reasons. You want to look better than you do. Since the face and more importantly your SMILE is the gateway to how people perceive you, you definitely want a million dollar smile. For this particular patient, the gap in between the upper front teeth was reason enough to seek a solution. Ortho - wire / braces correction was considered, but as an adult between jobs, time was a factor to be weighed as important to warrant a quicker solution.  To ensure we would not err by doing something too drastic, a mock or temporary veneer was fit on to the front teeth for a few days. The patient was able to get feedback from friends and family and also decide if this was the correct 'look' desired. Then and ONLY then did we touch the teeth to get the gap closed, smile beautified and confidence raised sky high!

EMax Onlay

Image
Usually after root canal treatment, we recommend that you have a crown fitted on the tooth in order to protect it from breaking / fracturing under biting load. Most options range from the simple all metal to the metal-ceramic to all ceramic caps. In the recent past there has been a gradual shift in patient preference towards all ceramic crowns. Often sold as "tough" and "unbreakable" ZIRCONIA, we are of the opinion that these crowns need to be fitted on a case to case basis. Instead what we offer and recommend routinely in our practice are (feldspathic glass) occlusal veneers or ONLAYS a.k.a EMax Lithium Disilicate. They look beautiful and allow for less natural tooth structure destruction. We end up preserving a lot more tooth than what we would if we cut / prep for a full crown.
