The images on the left (Above and Below) are of teeth unspoiled by decay.
As a protective measure you can choose to have sealants placed on them.
This is similar to blocking all those grooves and crevices where food tends to lodge and trying to ensure that the tooth stays decay free.

The "best" part? You may NEVER need to have that tooth drilled! yay!
